The convention will celebrate the th anniversary of the driving of the Golden Spike on the Pacific Railroad. We are planning to participate in this event and there will be tours and a rail excursion on the Heber Valley Railroad as part of the convention. We anticipate very large crowds at all the events and a significant amount of "down time" before and after each event. During the down times we may be asked to stand for long periods of time, perhaps in inclement weather. The May 10th visit to Promontory may require a significant amount of walking over uneven ground. Please consider these possibilities when making your arrangements.
