Enchiladas and burritos are Mexican foods. In appearance, both enchiladas and burritos look alike, but they are different in the contents, taste, and flavour. One of the main differences between enchiladas and burritos is in the type of tortilla used. While corn is used for making enchiladas, wheat flour is used for making burritos. The corn is filled with beef, cheese, chicken, and other things which go into the making of enchiladas. In this Mexican food, sauce is also used. Generally red sauce is used for beef, and cream or green sauce for cheese or chicken.

The main difference between Enchilada and Burrito is that the Enchilada is a corn tortilla rolled around a filling and covered with a chili pepper sauce and Burrito is a Mexican food consisting of a wheat flour tortilla wrapped or folded into a cylindrical shape to completely enclose the filling. Enchiladas can be filled with a variety of ingredients, including various meats, cheese, beans, potatoes, vegetables or combinations. It is wrapped into a closed-ended cylinder that can be picked up, in contrast to a taco, where the tortilla is simply folded around the fillings. The tortilla is sometimes lightly grilled or steamed to soften it, make it more pliable, and allow it to adhere to itself when wrapped. A wet burrito, however, is covered in sauce and therefore cannot be picked up. In Mexico, meat and refried beans are frequently the only fillings. In the United States, however, burrito fillings may include a large combination of ingredients such as Mexican-style rice or plain rice, boiled beans or refried beans, lettuce, salsa, meat, guacamole, cheese, sour cream and various vegetables.

Food items come in various forms and variety, so it gets complicated to keep track of all of them, therefore getting proper information about the favorite dishes and the ones which are closely related comes in handy. This article looks at two main types called Enchilada and Burrito. The main difference between them is that Enchilada as a dish gets explained as a tortilla role that is filled with mostly chicken or mutton meat and served with a chili sauce. On the other hand, Burrito as a dish gets explained as a tortilla role that is filled with beans or ground or in some cases with shredded beef and served with sauce. Enchilada as a dish gets explained as a tortilla role that is filled with mostly chicken or mutton meat and served with a chili sauce. Meat maybe the most common filling but it keeps on changing depending on the place and personal likes and dislikes.

A secondary difference appears to be that chimichangas are usually meat-filled, whereas burritos can often be vegetarian-style with beans. Also, chimichangas tend to be spicy, whereas I know of plenty a mild burrito.
